OVERVIEW
The STARS III is a 8(a) small business set-aside Government-Wide Acquisition Contract (GWAC). It provides flexible access to customized IT solutions from 8(a) industry partners like Advancia Aeronautics. This next-generation GWAC is built on a framework to buy total IT solutions and will expand capabilities for emerging technologies and OCONUS requirements.
FEATURES
- $50 Billion program ceiling and five-year base period with one three (3)-year option. 
- Allows for directed award task orders under the competitive threshold. 
- While some sole source orders are flagged as “high risk,” this is not the case with 8(a) directed orders. 
- Contract types include: Fixed-Price, Time-and-materials, Labor Hour, and Incentives. 
- Permits other direct costs to include ancillary services and/or equipment that the Government determines to be integral and necessary to the IT services-based solution. 
- Pre-competed, easy-to-use contract with streamlined ordering procedures.
